The Head of Local Government Service for Nsit Ibom, Mrs. Jenny U. Inyang, has assured staff of a workable and comfortable office environment. She made this known during her maiden interactive session with staff in the council hall.
Mrs. Inyang listed some of the non-available working tools in the council and promised to seek the support of relevant authorities to provide them. She noted that good working tools are a necessity for a functional administrative system.
Similarly, she applauded the availability of electricity, water, etc, in the secretariat and also solicited staff commitment to duties as their contribution to the partnership.
The HOLGS further reminded staff to constantly refresh their knowledge of the Local Government service rules to execute their official responsibilities effectively. She seized the opportunity to announce the celebration of staff birthdays during the monthly solemn assembly.
Also speaking, the chairman of NULGE Nsit Ibom Branch, Comrade Isaiah Uko, called for the delivery of welfare packages to staff as and when due. Contributing, other staff requested the provision of a civic center, more typists, and other needs.
The meeting had the presence of all the Directors, NULGE Executives, and council staff.
