— Puts up Ememobong As Consensus Candidate
As the 2023 AGM/National Election of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR draws near, the State Chapter of the Institute has drummed support for a Council Member of Akwa Ibom origin, even as Comrade Ini Ememobong is being put up as the consensus candidate of the Chapter.
Comrade Ini Ememobong, a dedicated member of NIPR and the Honourable Commissioner for Information in the State was unanimously selected as the choice of the State chapter for the position of a Member of the Governing Council of the Institute in the forthcoming elections with the nomination form already purchased by the Chapter on his behalf.
The Chapter Chairman of NIPR, Mr. Nsemeke Udoakpan, made this known at the Image House, Uyo, during an interactive meeting by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, with members of the State Chapter of the Institute.
Mr. Nsemeke Udoakpan, therefore, called on the State Government and other well-meaning people of Akwa Ibom to support the representation of Akwa Ibom State in the Governing Council of NIPR by endorsing the candidacy of Comrade Ini Ememobong as the Consensus nominee to stand the election.
According to the State Chairman, the 2023 AGM/Election is likely to be the most competitive election in the history of the NIPR. It is scheduled to hold at NAF Suites Abuja on the 24th of August, 2023, with participants from State Chapters of the Institute across the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT.
Responding, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Consensus candidate of Akwa Ibom State for the Member of Council position in the forthcoming elections, Comrade Ini Ememobong, expressed appreciation to the State NIPR for the confidence reposed in him and pledged his continued loyalty to the Institute.
Comrade Ini Ememobong, who commended the State NIPR for being a dependable partner in the development of the State, urged members to remain supportive of the government by propagating the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno-led administration.
The Commissioner was accompanied to the Image House by the management staff of his Ministry.
