Akwa Ibom State Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong has been conferred with a golden award by the Eket Chapter of National Association of Local Government Employees (NULGE).
The Eket Chapter Chairman of NULGE, Comrade Godwin Uwem, who presented the award to the former Eket Council boss, at his residence in Eket during a courtesy visit on Tuesday, 14th September,2021, said the honour was to recognize the patrotic services and impressive leadership disposition of Frank Archibong.
“It is the unanimous decision of the leadership and members of NULGE, Eket chapter to recognise Frank Archibong with this award as a mark of honour to appreciate him for his impressive leadership qualities, patriotic services to man, humanity and NULGE Eket branch”.
“From the time he served as Chairman of Eket LGA, Mr Frank Archibong has always been there for us; He is a brand and generous leader. Through him, we enjoyed what other workers did not enjoy”.
Comrade Uwem, commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for the payment of 2019 leave grant to workers, saying that the effort injected in to facilitate the process further endeared the Commissioner to their hearts.
Accepting the award, the Commissioner appreciated the gesture and thanked the leadership of NULGE for acknowledging that Governor Udom Emmanuel has shown good faith in handling workers welfare.
He admonished them to give greater support to the Governor and the Eket Council boss, Mr. Akaniyene Tommey, and urge them to be more dutiful, prudence and diligence at work in order to maintain the peaceful and wide spread developments currently being felt across the State, courtesy of the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
Present at the visit were; Comrade Udeme Nicholas, State Welfare Officer, NULGE and the NULGE Executive members in Eket Local Government Council.
