The ceremony, which brought together royal fathers and traditional rulers, took place at the Chairman’s conference hall, Afaha Offiong today, 10th March, 2026.
Presenting the award, Obom Mbong Ekpuk, Obong Effiong Asuquo William did not mince words in his commendation, citing Rt. Hon. Aaron’s concrete impact across human capital development, agricultural revolution, healthcare delivery, and educational advancement as the foundation for the recognition.
Obong Effiong extended his appreciation beyond the Chairman herself, acknowledging the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, for his discernment in supporting their daughter, Rt. Hon. Otobong Aaron, to occupy the Executive Chairmanship seat of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
He pledged the continued prayers and counsel of the Mbong Ekpuk to the council boss as she pressed forward with her developmental agenda.
Receiving the honour, Rt. Hon. Otobong Aaron, visibly moved, expressed warm gratitude to the Executive members of Mbong Ekpuk Ibesikpo Asutan Chapter for the solidarity shown to her and her administration.
She said that the award was not merely a personal recognition but a tribute to the memory and legacy of her late father, whose contributions to the Mbong Ekpuk Ibesikpo Asutan Chapter laid the groundwork for the honour bestowed upon her.
Receiving the visiting delegation on behalf of the Paramount Ruler, the Chairman of Nsit Ibom Traditional Rulers Council, Eteidung Udeme Nnah, welcomed the gesture warmly, commending the Mbong Ekpuk Ibesikpo Asutan for taking time to recognize the selfless service of the Executive Chairman.
