The Vice-Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon. (Evang.) Uduak Udoenang at one of the Churches during voters sensitization in Uruan

The Vice-Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon. (Evang.) Uduak Daniel Udoenang has kick-started a church to church voters sensitization tour tagged ” Your Vote is Your Power. Get a Voters Card”

The tour commenced on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 at her Geo-political ward, Northern Uruan Ward 2, Uruan L.G.A., Akwa Ibom State.

Addressing the congregation of the Churches visited, the Vice Chairman appealed to members that have not gotten their voters card to go get registered and obtained Permanent Voter’s Cards ( PVCs).

“I decided to take this sensitization to churches because I know that it is a place where a higher number of people assembled in any area, as well as the fastest medium of information dissemination in a community. Please as you hear this message do well to extend the sensitization to other members, your friends and neighbours who are not in this church today” she said

“those of you who have already registered need not register again. But for those of you who have lost their PVCs, have issues with it, or wish to transfer themselves to another polling unit or station where they wish to vote in the future elections should go to the INEC office at Idu, the Local Government Headquarters, and apply.”

The Vice-Chairman also hinted that she has mobilized the Uruan unit of INEC for Village to Village registration of Voters in Northern Uruan and Urged those that have not registered to grab the opportunity.

The responses from members of churches visited were encouraging as members appreciated the courage of the vice-chairman and promised to do as told.

The Vice-Chairman took the Voters sensitization exercise to The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, The Mount Zion Church of Nigeria, The Assembly of God Church, and The True Church of God all in Ibiaku Uruan in Uruan Local Government Area.

Accompanying the Vice Chairman to the sensitization tour were: Hon. (Princess) Mfon Otu, Councilor representing Northern Uruan ward 2, Mr. Victor Ibanga and Mr. Ini Ekpo, SAs to Gov Udom Emmanuel on project monitoring, Uruan Woman Forum at the ward level including the youths.
