The Chairman AKMAG Hotels, Engr. Mfon Akpaneyen has described hospitality business in Nigeria as one major factor that has boosted the economic and human fortunes of the country over the years.
Engr. Akpaneyen made this known at the AKMAG Hotels Conference Hall, Monday, 21st March 2022, while receiving journalists under the aegis of Local Government Information Chapel (LOGIC), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom state, who were on an official visit to him.
Speaking through the hotel’s’ Principal Consultant, Mr. Chukks Agboje, the AKMAG Boss said that hotel management and services were some of the veritable means of providing stable economic investments in the society while providing job opportunities to the teeming youth seeking employment in the private sector for sustainable livelihood.
He described hospitality as a culture in the State noting that Akwa Ibom people were receptive to the business and therefore assured AKMAG Hotels readiness to partner with LOGIC for more service delivery.
” Hospitality is a culture in Akwa Ibom. People here are receptive and are eager to get more of this industry. We need the media to tell the story of AKMAG” Akpaneyen reiterated.
The Chairman of the Local Government Information Chapel (LOGIC), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom state, comrade Roseline Etukudo, used the moment to invite Engr Akpaneyen, management, and staff of AKMAG Hotels to the 2022 Chapel week scheduled to begin on 10th April 2022 with the theme, ” Effective information Management for Grassroots Development: the role of information officers” and assured the management of LOGIC’s resolve to offer professional service(s) whenever the need arises.
Earlier, the Chairman, Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the 2022 LOGIC week, Comrade Gabriel Ekaidem, said the Chapel week is scheduled to begin with a thanksgiving service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Okon, in Essien Udim Local Government Area on Sunday, 10th April 2022, by 10.00 a.m. while the official opening ceremony is billed to be held at the Local Government Service Commission, 332, Oron Road, Uyo, on Monday, 11th April 2022 by 10:00 a.m.
