Encomium continue to flow as the Executive Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon (surv) Iniobong Ekpenyong inaugurated Skill Acquisition Programme for 1000 youth from Uruan LGA
Hon. Ekpenyong after flagging -off the programme at the Council Secretariat Idu on Wednesday 18th August 2021 on his Official Facebook page Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong wrote
“As part of my administration’s 7point agenda, today, I flagged off 1000 youth skills acquisition and empowerment programmes for Uruan people. It is always my desire to see that the youths are gainfully employed. In our present society, the youth are at the forefront of change and innovation, and many have the spirit to make things happen. I do not want Uruan youth to be left out.”
The post attracted comments from his kinsmen and other Facebook users who openly poured accolades on the council boss.
A Facebook user, Nsikak Abasi Ekaeba wrote “If we had leaders of your kind for the past years…Uruan sons and daughters would have dominated the State and Nation in different fields. God bless you and your team”
Another Facebook user Kingpin offiong who is also one of the 1000 beneficiaries wrote

The 1000 beneficiaries of the Skills Acquisition programme will be trained on a wide range of skills ranging from ICT, tailoring, soap making, paint production, hairdressing, hair cut, welding, shoemaking, organic fertilizer production, makeup and decoration, and catering1000 at any of the 4 centers of Mbiaya-Ita for Northern zone, Nung Ikono Ufok for South-South zone, Ekim Enen for South East zone and Idu, Uruan for Central zone.
