Journalists in Akwa Ibom State have been charged to embrace digital technologies to make their work more attractive and less expensive.
The CEO, PIPMINDS International LTD./XpatFX/PIPMINDS properties, Mr. Emem Alban Edet gave the charge when the Local Government Information Chapel 2021 press week committee led by the chairman, Comrd.Gabriel Ekaidem paid him a familiarization visit in Uyo, Thursday 18th February, 2021.
The Uyo based business and investment guru who was elated to receive the team at the trade house, described the visit as unprecedented in the history of the company.
The PIPMINDS CEO having been presented with the official letter of invitation and the NEWS31 profile folder, by the chairman of the delegation, charged Journalists in the state to key into the various opportunities available by the advancement of new technologies.
“As one of the crusaders of the 21st century information age, I want to believe NEWS31 is considering coming into the market in a time that the internet has already disrupted the system. By this therefore, I admonished all Journalists in the State to consider the intention of having more online contents.
I encourage you to embrace digital technology as this will help make your platform attractive, and less expensive “
Mr. Alban Edet however pledged the company’s support and assured on his readiness to partner LOGIC for the success of the 2021 maiden press week.
“I will look at your request with the head of marketing and business development and hopefully get across to you. Let me also assure you the company’s support as we also hope to identify with your programmes and events as you host your maiden edition of the press week” he said.
Speaking at the visit, Comr. Ekaidem, thanked the CEO and the management of the company for granting the team the audience. He applauded the policy thrust of the company which according to him has brought towering changes in the financial sector and positioned the company ahead of competitors.
While soliciting for a holistic support and partnership from the company towards the 2021 LOGIC press week and the formal rollout of the Chapel’s newspaper publication christened “NEWS31”, Ekaidem extolled the guileless personality of the company’s CEO and encouraged him to see the visit as an opportunity to build a robust partnership between the company and the media community in Akwa Ibom State.
Notable at the visit were; Head of marketing and business development, Mr. Scott Iwang and the country manager, PIPminds international, Mr Greg Anthony Obinna.
The visit formed part of preparations by the committee to intimate and brief concerned persons and organizations on lineup of activities for the forthcoming Local Government information Chapel’s maiden Press Week.
The LOGIC Press Week is slated to begin on Sunday 14th of March, 2021 with a thanksgiving service and culminate on Wednesday the 17th of March, 2021 with a visit to expectant mothers at the General Hospital, Iquita Oron Local Government Area.
