Transition Chairman of Nsit Ibom LGA, Hon. Dcns. Oto Aaron is set to implement a bursary program for Nsit Ibom students in collaboration with the National Association of Nsit Ibom Students Worldwide (NANIS).
In a recent meeting held at the Nsit Ibom Council Secretariat, representatives from various student chapters convened to finalize arrangements for the disbursement of bursary funds, scheduled for Monday, March 18th, 2024.
Hon. Aaron assured attendees that at least 200 students would benefit from the bursary scheme, acknowledging students’ economic challenges and pledging support.
Emphasizing transparency, she urged the student executives to ensure fair selection and screening of beneficiaries while also encouraging students to explore small-scale business opportunities to complement their academic pursuits.
In response, Comrade Emmanuel Akpan expressed gratitude for Hon. Aaron’s consistent support. He deemed her a “student-friendly” leader, pledging unwavering backing from Nsit Ibom students for her administration’s success and beyond.
