
The Head of Civil Service of Akwa Ibom State, Elder Effiong Essien has pledged to support the National Association of Heads of Local Government Administration (NAHOLGA) in the sucessful hosting of its national conference in the State.
Elder Essien said this when the leadership of the Conference of Heads of Local Government Service, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Elder Godwin Affia visited him in his office to intimate and invite him to the forthcoming National Conference of the body holding in the state from the 16th to 19th of November, 2021.
Essien commended NAHOLGA choice of Akwa Ibom State as the host and opined that the state has become a preferred destination to national and international organizations in hosting events which he attributed to the enduring peace maintained by the Gov. Udom-led administration.
The Civil Service Boss applauded the State Chapter of the Conference of Heads of Local Government Service for the active involvement in the national politics of the body and for the collaboration with the political heads in their various Local Government Councils in actualizing the Completion Agenda of the present government at the grassroots.
Elder Essien expressed happiness at the emergence of the Head of Local Government Service of Ibiono Ibom LGC Dr. Mrs. Mandu Ekpenyong, as the National President. Elder Essien described the feat as a demonstration of the dakkada spirit and urged them to join hands in making her tenure successful.
He congratulated the National President, Dr. Mandu Ekpenyong, and assured them of his active participation in the forthcoming National Conference.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Local Government Service, Elder Godwin Affia, who is also the Head of Local Government Service, Uyo Local Government Council, commended the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, for his recorded achievements and also appreciated Governor Udom’s concern for workers.
Elder Afia said the visit was to intimate and invite the Head of Civil Service to the National Conference of Heads of Local Government Administration scheduled to take place in Akwa Ibom State from the 16th to 19th day of November 2021, adding that about 774 members of the body are expected in the state.
He further informed the Head of Civil Service of the emergence of one of the Heads of Local Government Service, Dr. Mrs. Mandu Ekpenyong as National President.
The high point of the visit was the presentation of the invitation letter to the Head of Civil Service.
