The Executive Chairman, Mbo LGA, Rt. Hon.Asuquo Eyo.

The two terms Executive Chairman of Mbo Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Asuquo Eyo has reiterated his determination to consolidate the completion agenda of his Excellency, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel by embarking on live touching projects in Mbo Local Government Area.

The Council Boss made this known during his maiden interactive session with staff of Mbo Local Government Council at the council Secretariat five months after being sworn in for a second term in office.

He said that his inability to meet staff after his assumption of office was due to the communal crises that rocked the Area.

The Chairman said the crises have led to the destruction of lives and properties worth millions of naira in Mbo Local Government Area.

He said the crises which lasted for more than two months made gathering difficult and had a toll on staff accessing their duty posts.

The Mbo council helmsman appealed to staff to be of good conduct and be ready to serve. He emphasized that a carefree attitude towards work will not be condoned.

He assured the staff of his administration’s willingness to make their work environment conducive by providing basic amenities, work tools, and better welfare packages.

Rt. Hon Eyo noted that his administration has concluded plans to build a befitting Multipurpose Town Hall for the people of Mbo.

Also speaking, the Head of Local Government Service in Mbo, Mrs. Regina Okonko, appreciated God and the Chairman for making the gathering a reality after numerous setbacks.

She enjoined staff to be regular in office and be of good conduct. She emphasized that disciplinary measures will be mated on any staff that is nonchalant towards work.

Notable at the meeting were; the Leader of Mbo Legislative Council, Hon. Edet Oboho, the Council Secretary, Prince Okon Bassey Okon, and the Directors from the seven departments in Mbo Council.

Others were; the Deputy Leader of Mbo Legislative Council, Hon. Antai Ben Edet, the House Leader, Hon. Precious Edu, the Chief Whip Hon. Helen Eyo, amongst others.
