…Renovates Council

The Executive Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Obong Asuakak Umoh has again raised the performance bar by presenting official vehicles to key council officials and executing far-reaching renovations of council facilities to improve governance and staff productivity.
The presentation, which took place on May 6, 2025, saw the Leader of the 8th Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Idoreyin Umoren, and the Secretary of Council, Arc. Steven Charles receives official vehicles to ease mobility in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking during the presentation, Rt. Hon. Umoh reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to not just delivering developmental projects across communities but also repositioning the internal structure and working environment of the council to reflect modern standards of efficiency and excellence.
In line with that vision, the Council Boss also renovated the offices of the Leader and councilors, ensuring a conducive work atmosphere tailored to improve service delivery. The Council Hall, which had long needed a facelift, was refurbished with modern facilities, providing a more befitting and ambient space for official engagements and public events.
The office of the Executive Chairman was also given a makeover, with interior decor upgraded to reflect a more professional and welcoming environment for administrative activities and stakeholder meetings.
These interventions are only the latest in a string of initiatives that have defined the Umoh administration’s proactive and people-centric governance style. Since assuming office, Rt. Hon. Umoh has achieved outstanding progress in education, agriculture, infrastructure, sanitation, employment, and welfare, sparking a wave of unprecedented development across Ibiono Ibom.
Observers have praised the Chairman’s drive, noting that his ability to deliver so much in so little time is a proof that leadership, when anchored on integrity, planning, and vision, can truly transform institutions.
