The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) Akwa Ibom/Cross River Chapter is set to mark its End-of-Year Dinner and Award Night, scheduled to take place in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State Capital.
The event is slated for Friday, December 6, 2024, will commence at 4:00pm Nigerian time, at the Grace Hall of Helemah Event Center in the Mutual Alliance Estate on Aka Itiam Street, Uyo.
During a recent press briefing, the Chapter Chairman, Engr. Ikemesit Orok, while outlining the activities for the week long event, stated that logistical arrangements are advancing seamlessly to ensure a well-organized event. He noted that the event will be Chaired by Engr. Chief Augustine Ukpong.
According to him, others includes keynote contributions from Engr. Dr. Wisdom Enang as the Special Guest of Honour and Engr. Prof. Esang Esitikot as the Guest Speaker. Additionally, Mrs. Nkoyo Etuk will be recognized as the Guest of Honour.
Engr. Orok emphasized that the event aims to be a hallmark of sophistication, featuring both entertainment and motivational discourse, with participation expected from a diverse array of stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community representatives.
This distinguished dinner and awards ceremony will honour individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the advancements in industry, governance, and academic excellence.
The theme, “Enabling Energy: Optimizing Oil and Gas Policy for Enhanced Efficiency and Job Creation,” indicates a focus on the pivotal role of innovative policy frameworks in the energy sector.
Other activities scheduled for the week are; Radio talk show slated for Tuesday 2nd December, Software Training and Skills Acquisition, to take place on Wednesday, 3rd December, Industrial Visit, is scheduled for 4th December, while the Inter University Quiz and Football Competition will hold on Friday, 5th December 2024.
The Chapter Chairman has formally invited the public to join this significant gathering, which promises to offer valuable insights and networking opportunities that could influence future initiatives within the engineering and energy sectors.
