As part of her commitment to intentional leadership, The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Nsit Ibom L.G., Hon. (Dcns) Otobong Aaron, has encouraged Council staff to keep the faith for better days ahead. She gave the charge during an interactive session with the council staff, stressing that her administration is here to serve the people and that no matter the state of the nation’s economy, she is unrelenting in finding succor.
Her words: “I want to thank every one of you for the effective work delivery I have enjoyed since I took over the leadership of this Local Government. I know times are hard, but I want to remind you that my administration will be consistent in responding to staff concerns, and I want you all to remain diligent in your respective official obligations, for there is a reward for dedication.
I also want you to thank the working and motherly Head of Service who seizes every opportunity to plead your cases. I heartily commend her cooperation in ensuring a vibrant and synergistic working relationship between the executive and staff.”
Similarly, the Head of Local Government Service for Nsit Ibom, Mrs Jenny Inyang, appreciated the Council boss’s empathetic and all-inclusive leadership. Noting that her motherliness has made her work easy and the Council an effective workplace.
“I sincerely appreciate you, My Chairman, for being a caring and listening leader. Thank you for always making efforts to meet staff needs and ensuring a harmonious work environment.” She said.
Responding, The Branch Chairman of Nsit Ibom LGC. Comrade Isaiah Adams thanked the Chairman and executives for engaging with staff. He thanked the Chairman for her exemplary leadership and commitment to staff welfare in the face of the biting economic situation. “I am happy that the staff of this L.G. Council will experience another administration of support and concern for their needs. I also use this medium to appeal for a bus to assist the union members in attending staff and other union activities easily.” He said.
The high point of the session was the cash donation to the staff present and the promise of an award for the most committed and outstanding staff in the Council by the Transition Chairman.
