Akwa Ibom State Comptroller of Immigration Services, CIS. G. C Didel, has appealed for more lands for the provision of immigration offices in the Local Government.
He made this known during a familiarization visit to the Local Government on Monday, 6th September 2021 at the Local Government headquarters……
The comptroller thanked the council chairman for being the first council chairman to donate a piece of land for the building of the Immigrations Forward Operational Base. Stressing that more immigration offices, means more employment opportunities for indigenous.
CIS Didel also intimated the chairman of the agency’s introduction of a border patrol team to checkmate illegal border activities. The issuance of an E-passport (ECOWAS PASSPORT), ECOWAS RESIDENTIAL CARD, and other travel requirements for ease of transportation across the continent.
He further asked the council to be unrelenting in the provision of useful information for the benefit of all.
Receiving the guests, the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ibom Rt. Hon Eric Akpan acknowledged the smooth relationship the Local Government has enjoyed with the agency.
He noted with appreciation the security benefits of having the Forward Operation Base in the area.
On the provision of lands for immigration offices, the chairman assured the agency of his administration’s support and promised to furnish them with the council’s decisions as soon as possible.
